The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering solutions such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it truly is alarmed regarding the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area regularly. The provider position established for intervention activities a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the office to attend to all people who go to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all buyers and raise access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
