The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers into the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed concerning the significant variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no absolutely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The provider issue produced for intervention encounters a large influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional more info sources to enable the servicing of all customers and improve access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
